[Late had gotten later, and then so late it was practically early by the time Tim finally managed to get home. He hadn't expected Valentine's Day to be a busy one in Gotham, but he supposed he'd underestimated the number of Bonnie and Clydes out there. Cissie had said she'd wait up for him, but he wasn't surprised to find her asleep on the couch when he got home.
He smiled a little to himself and put out the candles she had lit--they were flickering low in their holders anyway. He grabbed a very quick shower, then went back out to the living room, considering what to do. He wanted to tuck her into bed, but he didn't want to wake her. He settled on a compromise. He went to the bedroom to pull her favorite blanket off their bed, then brought it out to her to tuck it around her on the couch. She would be warm, at least.
