An Annoyance of Young Vigilantes (PSL)
Sep. 8th, 2019 05:26 pmJayne Todd died. It was unthinkably tragic and terrible, and it never should have happened. Not to a Robin, and certainly not to someone so young. Time marched on, though not too terribly far. It wasn't long before Batman's behavior following Jayne's death was erratic enough for one of his biggest fans to take note, and to intervene. Tim Drake began training to be Robin.
And then, sometimes, the Multiverse corrects itself.
Jayne returned. But instead of being hit by a car and eventually discovered by Talia al Ghul, she was found by Batman. He brought her home, there was healing. People used their words (not very well, Batman has never been particularly skilled in this arena, but well enough). And when she was healthy enough to consider the question of "what now?" when there was already another Robin (though there was no reason, as many of them pointed out, that there could not be an R1 and R2), she decided that, like her predecessor, it was time to take a new name.
Grackle was born.
