College Roommates

Tim looked around his dorm room and... he couldn't say he was happy with what he saw. He'd signed up for a single. Instead, he'd found himself in a somewhat larger room than was typical--which was nice--but there were three beds, not one. How on earth had he gone from no roommates, to two roommates? Sure, there was plenty of space, but there were two other people sharing it. Strangers.

How the hell was he supposed to continue his evening activities with roommates?

He scowled a little to himself as he started to unpack his clothing. Maybe he'd have to have an out of town girlfriend or boyfriend or something. Anything to make his new roommates not ask questions about where he went in the evenings or on the weekends.

So much was wrong with this situation, not the least of it that Kon was carrying his own baggage. And not all at once in one trip, either. No, he was forced to make trips all because 'normal' people didn't have 'super powers.' UGH.

Kon carefully balanced the box he was carrying so that he could reach for the door handle. The backpack slung over one shoulder immediately slipped down his arm and hit him on the wrist. Rolling his eyes, Kon pushed the door. open.

The room was bigger than he'd expected. Bigger and occupied. Kon pushed his sunglasses up, giving the guy in the room a stare. Then he stood back, taking another look at the door, and then pulled his Admissions letter out of his pocket to look at it. "That's weird."

Tim looked up at the sound of someone entering the room, and raised both eyebrows when he saw who it was. Really? Someone, somewhere had to be playing a practical joke. Either that or Damian had somehow hacked the school's computers to set this up, knowing it would irritate him.

"No kidding. I was supposed to have a single."

Cissie heaved a loud sigh from the hallway behind Kon, rolling her eyes at both boys. She had a backpack, a rolling dufflebag and a box and absolutely zero patience for this standing around, in her way. "Excuse me, do you mind?" she asked Kon. "You're blocking the way."

She, unlike her new roommates, was not surprised to be sharing her supposed-to-be-single room with two others. Because she'd actually read her room assignment letter beyond finding out where her room was. She wasn't necessarily thrilled with who her roommates were, but she wasn't shocked to find them there. "By the way? I am not sleeping on the bunk bed, you two will have to fight over who gets the top bunk. I call dibs on the single."
